Welcome to MODE Naturelle, Where Simplicity Nurtures the Soul

I’m Andrea Nadjarian, a 30-year-old woman living in Detroit with a deep love for the outdoors, animals, and all things natural. My happiest moments are spent surrounded by the beauty of nature—whether it’s hiking through the woods, feeling the earth beneath my feet, or simply enjoying the quiet company of my pets. I’ve always been drawn to the simple, the pure, and the authentic. There’s something about the natural world that brings me peace, grounding me in a way that nothing else can.

But my journey to finding this peace hasn’t been an easy one. For years, I lived under the weight of emotional abuse—an experience that cluttered my life in more ways than one. This abusive relationship brought chaos into my world, filling my mind and heart with doubts, fears, and confusion. It was as if my reality had been taken over by someone else’s narrative, and in that fog of manipulation, I lost sight of who I truly was.

The abuse manifested in so many ways—mentally, emotionally, and even physically. My home, once a sanctuary, became a reflection of this inner turmoil. Clutter accumulated not just in my surroundings, but in my mind and soul. Every day felt like a struggle to find clarity, to sift through the mess of thoughts and emotions that had been forced upon me. I felt overwhelmed by the noise, the confusion, and the sense of being trapped in a life that wasn’t truly mine.

It was in the midst of this chaos that I began to seek something pure, something real. I started stripping away the unnecessary, not just in my physical space, but in my heart and mind as well. I turned to nature—my constant refuge—and found comfort in its simplicity and grace. Nature, in its raw beauty, reminded me of the person I had always been and the person I wanted to become again.

As I cleared the clutter from my life, I discovered the beauty of Japandi style—a harmonious blend of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian warmth. This aesthetic celebrates simplicity, functionality, and the natural world, but it was the deeper philosophy that resonated most with me. The Japanese concept of wabi-sabi—finding beauty in imperfection—spoke to my soul. It taught me that there is grace in the flaws, in the cracks, in the things that are worn and aged. It reminded me that nothing is ever truly perfect, nor does it need to be.

Through embracing wabi-sabi, I began to see myself in a new light. The scars left by emotional abuse, the doubts, the fears—they were all part of my journey. They shaped me, but they did not define me. Just as wabi-sabi finds beauty in the imperfect, I have learned to find beauty in my own imperfections. I’ve come to understand that my past, with all its challenges, has made me who I am today—a stronger, more resilient person who values the simple, the natural, and the true.

MODE Naturelle was born from this journey. It’s a humble offering of natural fabrics and simple home goods that honor the quiet beauty within us all. Each garment in our collection is made from organic, natural materials like wool and linen, chosen not just for their comfort and elegance, but for their ability to let our true selves shine through.
